Arthur Gee (1934 - 2011)

Arthur Gee was a painter of landscapes and birds, especially waterfowl. He worked with a wide range of fine art media including watercolour, oils and acrylic. Arthur was a full member of the Society of Wildlife Artists and exhibited in their annual show at the Mall Galleries, London. He has also shown works at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art. Arthur has twice been a finalist in the Laing art competition and his work is in private collections throughout the United Kingdom.

Arthur was a member of several painters' and artists' societies including the North West Artists' Forum and the National Acrylic Painters' Association(NAPA). His work was regularly shown in NAPA exhibitions and he has received the NAPA President's Award, the Adrian Henri Award and other prizes.

He lived in Burtonwood, between St. Helens and Warrington, and studied art at St. Helens College. Arthur gave painting demonstrations and workshops to artists' groups and schools.
